Falcons City SC is seeking multiple Volunteer Board Members to help guide the organization’s growth, governance, fundraising, partnerships, and long-term strategy. We are looking to build a board with diverse professional skills, community connections, cultural perspectives, and generational viewpoints. This includes people from different career stages, backgrounds, industries, and communities who care about youth, sports, education, and community development.

Falcons City SC is a nonprofit sports club dedicated to youth development, sports access, fitness, education, leadership, and community impact. We provide programs through soccer, basketball, volleyball, chess, fitness, after-school activities, camps, clinics, tournaments, and community events.

Falcons City SC wants its board to reflect a wide range of community voices and lived experiences. We especially welcome candidates who can bring different cultural, generational, professional, parent, youth-development, immigrant, local-community, sports, education, and business perspectives to the organization. All candidates will be considered based on their experience, commitment, skills, availability, and alignment with the mission of Falcons City SC.

Expectations

Volunteer Board Members are expected to contribute approximately 5-10 hours per week. This may include attending meetings, reviewing materials, supporting fundraising or partnerships, making introductions, and helping move key initiatives forward between meetings. Board members support governance and strategic direction. Day-to-day operations may be handled separately by staff, contractors, coaches, program managers, and volunteers.

Ideal Candidate

Ideal candidates are reliable, professional, engaged, and aligned with the mission of Falcons City SC. Prior nonprofit board experience is helpful but not required. We welcome candidates with leadership experience, professional expertise, community involvement, sports experience, school connections, business experience, or a strong desire to help build a growing nonprofit sports club.
